The Nepali Academics in America (NACA) is a non-profit and non-partisan network established to enhance collaboration among academics and scholars affiliated with higher education and research institutions based in the United States of America and globally. As an independent professional network, its goal is to enhance the interests of academics and scholars focusing on Nepal for professional growth, collaboration, and high impact academic, research, and service initiatives in the United States, Nepal, and beyond.

Vision, Mission, and Objectives

NACA envisions to build a thriving and vibrant Nepal through research, innovation, and knowledge production.

The mission of NACA is to enhance collaboration among the academics and scholars affiliated with higher education and research institutions based in the United States of America and globally. We strive to provide a space for our members to engage/educate, network, and collaborate. 

The main objectives of this network include:

  1. Building a strong and committed network of academics and scholars who have interest in engaging in Nepal and beyond;
  2. Providing a common platform and voice where members can share their ideas, challenges, experiences, projects, and solutions;
  3. Enhancing collaborations on academics, research, service, and other areas of professional growth and development;
  4. Engaging with educators, researchers, policy-makers, planners, and practitioners for evidence-based analysis and understanding of the emerging policy issues in Nepal and beyond; and
  5. Providing information and resources for young professionals and scholars aspiring to be future academics.
