Nepali Academics in America

Call for Abstracts (Now Accepting)

Nepali Academics in America (NACA) invites submissions for the 2027 conference. This year’s theme is “Health, Society, and Global Futures: Connecting Knowledge, Innovations & Communities.” The conference will be held March 18–20, 2027, at the University of Maryland School of Public Health in College Park, Maryland.

Health, society, and our shared futures are shaped by the interconnected forces of knowledge, innovation, culture, environment, and human collaboration. The 2027 NACA Conference invites participants to explore how interdisciplinary scholarship, technological and scientific innovation, professional practice, and community-engaged approaches can address emerging and persistent challenges while advancing equity, resilience, and sustainable development. Bringing together diverse perspectives from academia, professional practice, communities, and the Nepali diaspora, this conference offers a unique platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnerships across research, policy, and practice. Through these collective efforts, we seek to contribute to healthier communities, stronger societies, resilient environments, and sustainable global futures.

The conference also offers participants an opportunity to share scholarship, engage with timely issues, reconnect with colleagues and friends, and develop new professional relationships. By creating space for constructive exchange across disciplines and sectors, NACA aims to support initiatives that advance a more just, healthy, and sustainable world.

NACA welcomes scholarly, creative, professional, and community-engaged work related to the conference theme. We invite scholars, scientists, artists, practitioners, professionals, students, and community groups to submit proposals related to the conference theme that reflect the breadth of perspectives and disciplines represented within NACA and its broader networks.

All proposals must be submitted through the link below.
